Triple Chain Swarovski & Turquoise Jewelry Set
A triple chain or strand necklace with Swarovski crystals and pearls and a smattering of earth-loved gemstone – what could be more soothing to make? Or wear?
This jewelry set his was a peaceful set to work on. I always love wirework and making loops so I think I was really wanting to soothe myself by making a hand-looped chain. But just a chain necklace would be too boring for me to make so in crept the crystals, pearl, and gemstones. And the colors that selected themselves turned out to be very soothing.
For the bottom (longest) chain/strand – make double-looped bead (viz loop at each end of bead); each loop links to a close small jump ring before closing off each loop. A larger ring then joins in-between.
Connecting to clasp: each chain/strand was completed and then attached to a triple bar clasp – starting with the longest strand. There is a drop (pearl drop) at the end of the clasp. This seems to make the putting on/taking off process much easier.
For middle chain/strand: make little drops with Swarovski crystal/pearls using ball headpins. The loop is attached to chain before closing off. (The chain is a purchased sterling silver chain which I chose for its fineness which complements the overall look).
For top/shortest chain/strand: this is made slightly more dramatic by using larger Swarovski pearls and turquoise nuggets.
Note: Length (of shortest strand): approximately 36cm (14 ¼ inches)
And to finish off, a matching pair of earrings:
