Some DIY Notes on the Simply Rapt Ring
Use 2 ball head-pins, one through each of the holes in the navette setting, going in opposite directions. Create a wire-wrapped closed loop to finish off the straight end of the head pins. (The loops are essential to attach to band).
The band is made using 2 pieces of wire, held parallel and close to each other. Curve this over a ring mandrel for the desired size. Then each end of the dual-wire is put through the loops formed earlier with the head-pin.
Create free form decorative swirls to firmly attach. Cut excess wire and tuck ends as neatly as possible.
Work harden the wire on the band – put it over the ring mandrel and hammer lightly and repeatedly.
