This is just a quick short tip.
How to neaten the side edges of a crocheted piece, e.g the centre opening on tops. I have used white yarn below to highlight the method.
This was used to neaten and even out the center opening for the winter coat below. The fabric was quite thick. I eventually used black yarn for the center opening: neatened first, then added border for buttonholes on one side and buttons on the other.
