This is the third afghan crochet blanket I made. Unlike blanket 1 and blanket 2, this was made to order. Well sort of .. coz I was given free rein to the colours other than it had to be a bright and colourful Queen Size afghan blanket.
Specifics
- Bed: For Queen Size
- Yarn Wt: various Aran (approx. 10 ply in Australia) yarn
- Yarn: Acrylic (so it can be machine washed, and lighter than wool)
- Hook: 5mm
- Stitches: 192 stitches across, excluding borders
- Production time: approx. 8-10 days
Status: 200/350 LOO SOLD (sold to Jenny. She paid FOO though!)
I was pretty good this time in that I managed to remember, at least for a few days, to photograph the progression of the work from day to day.
Unfortunately I only remembered for 4 days!
Days 1 – 4

these blankets are beautiful and colorful and you’ve even made 5! do you make a blanket in 8 – 10 days? you deserve a standing ovation, for speed, for the combination of colors, the choice of points and why did you do so many, how did you resist? these days I’m busy making edges for 6 sets of towels for a friend, with the agreement, however, to make them all different!

Hello Agnese! Thank you! Yes, about 8-10 days … as long as I am not interrupted 😀
I started off with one as an experiment and as a gift. Then I made another while waiting for new yarns to arrive. Then I had orders for 3 more. Hence, 5 thus far.
Hey I am like you … I have to tell people I need to do my own thing and I almost never repeat the same pattern & colours. It gets too boring!!!
