This is beaded owl earrings, Number 2. The last post showed Beaded Owl Earrings 1, which also had very detailed how-to steps. So if you want to know how this was made, you are welcome to refer to that post.

z.Beaded Owl Earrings I (CH0424)
Pair of beaded owl earrings – with big eyes. This pair matches the Karlyn Beaded Owl necklace from the previous post.
z.Beaded Owl Necklace – Karlyn Owl (CH0423)
Beaded Owl necklace, the Karlyn Owl, came about thanks to my sister, Christina Gillett. While on holidays, she snuck an owl of an idea into my head: she asked me for some owl jewellery.
z. GHHORIZONTAL Tapestry Crochet Bag
GHHORIZONTAL tapestry crochet bag celebrates colour and joie de vivre in tribal geometric pattern.
z. African Butterfly Magic Hair Clip – DIY How To Make
African Butterfly Magic Hair Clip is alternatively known as double hair comb with elastic, butterfly clip, hairclip, double magic hair comb, double beaded hair comb, magic hair comb. If you have used a Butterfly Magic Hair Clip before you will fully appreciate how much better they are than just about any other hair clip. Butterfly Magic Hair Clip is very easy to use, very firm, and works whether you have a lot of hair or very little (like me). (See video at the end of post for how to use a butterfly magic hair clip).
They are super comfortable. You can even sleep with them and they don’t dig into your scalp or cause you to have pulled-scalp pains at the end of a day. This post is about how to make an African Butterfly Magic Hair Clip. Once I had tried my first Magic Hair Clip (thanks to Joy Belle, my wonderful mother in law), I was in love. And next, I had to find out how to make them myself.
z. Glowing Miracle Beads Bag – Tapestry Crochet
This Drawstring Tapestry Crochet Bag is also a one-time, one of a kind design. This bag is crocheted with the super-intriguing Miracle Beads, aka Magic Beads. The ‘magic’ of these beads is that they will glow under natural light. So at the most unexpected, delightful occasion, your bag will seem to burst forth with an inner glow. Furthermore, they have the mesmerising illusion of a bead within a bead. This ‘magic’ has to be seen to fully appreciated.
z.Childhood Jade Bracelet – Repurposed (CH0421)
Some years ago my mom gave me a jade bracelet. Or rather, she re-gifted me the jade bracelet. Apparently it was from my childhood. When I was tiny. So of course I am now way too big to wear it.
I stored it away these last few years, thinking one day I will get round to “doing something” about it. But a walk with cancer has taught me that one should store less, enjoy and use more!
The childhood jade bracelet is made with symbolic Jade round pieces, encased within and link-chained with 24K gold. (24K gold is very yellow, expensive, and very popular in Malaysia – which is where I originally hailed from). Gold is not a metal I often work with. Which added to my procrastination period.
However I have finally “done something” to the childhood jade bracelet. It is now both a necklace or a wrap around bracelet. And I love it.
Z. Drawstring Tapestry Crochet Bag – Muted Hues of Myth & Fauna N/A
As with the Cat & Fishes tapestry crochet bag, this Drawstring Tapestry Crochet Bag is also a one-time, one of a kind design. A large bag suitable for daily use, for packing some gear for a weekend away, or for the hopeful shopping trips.
z. Tapestry Crochet Bag – Cat and Fishes
This “Cat & Fishes” is one of my first tapestry crochet bag. This is a one-off, no repeat design. I drew and graphed the pattern, pulling from a number of sources of inspiration (see below). Unlike other tapestry crochet and also unlike Wayuu bags, this tapestry bag is done in the extremely strong and dense knit-sc stitch which produces the intriguing stockinette-looking stitch. I have included lots of metal bag hardware – coz’ they always look so good on a bag, don’t they?!!
Z. Crochet Amigurumi Kangaroo – Lalla & Looly (CH0416)
This pair of mommy+baby amigurumi crochet kangaroo is named “Lalla & Looly”. And they say a thank you to my talented friend Chantel McCabe for naming them. This is mildly adapted from a lalylala design.
