Have been meaning to make a handmade toilet roll holder for some time. So I made one last night. Of course, with me, it is always an “experiment” and lord only knows when I will get round to making the next “improved” version. But this will do for now .. especially with visitors coming by in the next few days 🙂

Bead Embroidery is like painting with beads. Bead Embroidery Wall Art is a liberating way to employ colours, techniques, shapes, and stitches. And you end up with something pretty and usable that you can use to brighten your heart and home. I particularly love abstract art so I think that something abstract and bright will pepper my endeavours here.

How to transform ugly drawers? – collage drawers!

I have been meaning to do something about these drawers coz I so did not like their colours. So now I have. The collage drawers is a free-form design exercise. And collage drawers are so much fun as you can you all kinds of mix media. Here I mainly chose to work with fabric and bead embroidery.
Lilly By The Sea was my first clay play. It is comprised mainly of clay and felted Lilly Owl (of course).

Recycling Bedsheets into a Crochet Rug was very satisfying. And rather pleased with the result as well.
This happened while I was “homeless”. Which meant, almost no tools nor materials on hand. Instead I got some old bed sheets from the local op shop and a large crochet hook. After a few experimentations and multiple re-dos, I settled on the crochet stitches of choice.

With this “Woky Traveller” door stop, I may just take a rest from these quirky doorstoppers for a while. “Woky Traveller” should be able to hold tight the last banging door in the house. For now. This article, though containing its usual load of detailed photos, will more be a photographic journey than a step-by-step tutorial on how to make door stops.

I made these some while ago while being quite homeless and waiting for a new abode. All materials for these raggety, shaggy rugs were obtained very cheaply from the local co-op shop.
I am not going into overly long details as the pictures pretty much tell the whole story and these shaggy rugs from re-cycled fabrics are quite easy to make.
