Characteristics of Square Stitch
Square or Box stitch very much resembles loomwork. It is also virtually identical (at first glance) to ladder stitch. See Ladder Stitch vs Square Stitch to identify differences.
Basically, this is what the beaded square stitch looks like.
- a close fitting, solid bead weave
- requires quite long threading: multiples passes through beads
- quite inflexible along main thread direction
- very flexible across rows
