Detailes on Abstract Art Circles necklace
Swarovski crystals have been crocheted into the necklace. They bring a delightful and unexpected sparkle. The free moving dangles add live and movement. And the crochet necklace is finished off with a strong magnetic clasp. The clasp has an inner tube (one side goes inside other) for a fully secure hold.
Brief DIY Notes on Abstract Art Circles
Crochet rope is worked over 8 stitches per row, with 8/0 seed beads. Swarovski crystals are incorporated directly into piece and reflected in the graph work. The finished crochet rope is about 10mm in diameter.
The graph for the necklace was done with jbeads software.
The circle and ovals are stitched with brick stitch over (closed) metal and glass rings. These closed beaded circles are joined to each other by creating Superduo Circles and linking 2 or more closed beaded circles before completing the superduo circles.
The bail is created with superduo beads in simple peyote stitch.
The closure is with a strong magnetic clasp that has an inner tube insert. It has a 10mm inner hole.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use magnetic clasp that has 2 flat magnetic surfaces. It will snap open during wear due to the curved shape of the necklace.
